What a relaxing afternoon we had at the Eco Cabins at Couran Cove.

We sat with beverage in hand on our balcony and watched as wallabies and assorted wild life ran terrified into the scrub as a worker with a leaf blower with a decibel level higher than the legal requirements of a Harley Davidson blew dust, sand and leaves in to the fresh afternoon sunlight.

An hour of sweet horsepower music reached its crescendo and two stroke filled air permeated our lungs and cabin.

The encore to this afternoon was the witty and snide remarks from the Hi-vis clad virtuosos as they drove off in their ute. Obviously upset that their sweet serenade was interrupted by a call to the resort security.

Oh the serenity.

Bring your earplugs.......

We really enjoyed our stay at Couran Cove. It was great that the marine deluxe suites had kitchen facilities - it saved us a bit of cash. Wonderful to wake up to the water views of the marina. We were lucky to go after the Australia Day holiday when school had resumed - it was much quieter apparently than the week prior. I came away very relaxed.

Liked: We really enjoyed the Environment Centre events each day and relaxed layout of the resort.
Disliked: Meal options at the central Spa Island cafe. Perhaps some affordable snacks to enjoy by the pool.

booked especially for the day spa, extremely dissappointed that all appointments were fully booked! We felt this was unacceptable & they may have needed more staff to meet the requirements. rest of the weekend was great & relaxing. Bike riding was fun with the kids. Unfortunately there were not enough kids for our 2 to enjoy a banana boat ride, another dissappointment. The air-conditioner from upstairs apartment dripped all night, really hard to sleep. But don\'t get me wrong, this place is worth a visit and can be really enjoyed.

4th time back on the Island - Great location, kids have a blast on the bikes and we're happy with their safety. Getting tired of cooking in kitchenette because it's impractical, to dine out it's too expensive and lacks variety with a family of 6. It's a shame because everyting else meets the needs of a relaxing/fun holiday. The lunch menu should be available in the eveing also at Spa Island for more variety.

Lovely natural environment, a whale watching viewing platform at the beach would be great.

I sent my parents on a holiday to Couran Cove and they couldn\'t express enough of how helpful and friendly all the staff are. They enjoyed every moment whilst staying there and I thank you gratefully

Great relaxing holiday young children. There was a huge kids' swimming pool, great playground, kayaking, wildlife. Overall, a restful holiday. The marine suite was highly suitable apart from an impractical kitchenette, but we would fully self cater next time as eating out for dinner was expensive for young families. Mozzies can be a problem apparently but we were untroubled by them. The lagoon water level is low so it is not as picturesque as the brochures would suggest.
Not a glitzy resort but great to unwind and have days full of swimming, cycling and kayaking.

Liked: Nature, beach and pools.
Disliked: Difficult eating out with young kids - not many options.
